A Bossa Nova Instrumental:
O Samba Jazz pelo Olhar de Paulo Moura

This book explores the artist Paulo Moura in his historical, social, and artistic context, covering his artistic activities up until the production of the albums Paulo Moura Hepteto (1968) and Paulo Moura and Quarteto (1969). This period, though little known, is significant not only for the distinct sound he and his collaborators created, but also as it encapsulates all the learning and knowledge the musician had acquired up to that point. The albums analyzed here close a cycle both in artistic production and lifestyle in the long career of the artist, who is recognized as one of the most important names in Brazilian music of the 20th century.
